MemberStack charges a flat transaction fee of 10% on the Startup plan and 3% on the Pro plan, and 1% on the Scale plan. Stripe charges an additional credit card processing fee that depends on a few different factors. See Stripe's pricing for more details.
We’re working on a content management system that would make it possible to store anything securely on any website. Although, it’ll be a few months before something like this is ready (01/2019). Until then, MemberStack protects pages and content on those pages using redirects. They can't be "turned off" from a browser, but there are ways to access the HTML of a page if you know what you're looking for, and what you're doing. Therefor, we don't recommend using MemberStack to protect highly sensitive information.

Who will live in my property ?
Our occupants are young professionals working in a variety of industries such as finance, marketing, teaching.
You can have access to some details on the occupants living in your property on-demand.
How do you screen your occupants ?
We check their right to rent in the UK firstly, then their financial capacity to pay rent, and when required look for previous landlord references. We remain flexible and can include other checks if our landlords need more.
Will you do short term rental such as Airbnb ?
No, not at all. We are in the building of genuine homely flatsharing and are looking for people who will stay on the long run, get along with their flatmates and take care of the property. This is not feasible with short term rentals.
Can I visit the property during the contract term ?
Of course (and you should)! We are more than happy to organise inspection of the property in your presence, via video call, or through a photo report whichever is the most convenient for you.
We only require enough notice to let our occupants know and gain their approval of the inspection.
What is guaranteed rent ?
We will sign a legally binding contract which ensure your rental income for the duration of the contract, no matter the occupancy rate of your property.
What happens if you go bankrupt or stop paying rent ?
Paying rent is the most important component of our business. We can proudly say that we haven’t missed any rent payment since we started trading despite going through a Pandemic. This is because we have a risk-based approach to renting and are here to build long lasting business relationship.
In the event of a bankruptcy you would be treated as one of our creditors and will get reimbursed through the liquidation of our asset – moreover we would facilitate the takeover of the occupants in our property which ensures your rent is paid directly to you through them.
How do I know it’s safe ?
We have been trading for a few years now and working with high-street agents and landlords directly since then. We have not missed any rent payment through the Covid-19 crisis thanks to our approach to renting.
What does it mean ?
Ghoat means Greatest Home of All Time; it a word play on the term GOAT used notably in sports.
We believe your property is more than just an asset and should be taken care of as if it were our own home – we will aim to make it one of the greatest and most welcoming home for our occupants.

Are you yet another estate agent?
Not at all. We work with estate agent sometimes but are not estate agents. We are both your tenant and your property manager a new kind of business relationship where we want our landlords to maximize their rental yield and only pay for what they should.
We aim to make your property an asset again and not just a liability with lots of cost and poor management.
What type of properties do you rent ?
We will entertain any kind of property as long as they are suitable for professional renters.sharers and are conveniently located.
We have an array of contractors who can refurbish the property as needed also.
How long does it take for you to make an offer ?
We usually make an offer within 4 hours of our viewing, but guarantee an offer under 24 hours. We can then start our contract within 24 hours of this offer.
I don’t have an HMO licence is it a deal breaker ?
If you don’t have an HMO licence and your property requires one, we have extensive experience in applying for them and managing the necessary works related to having the licence granted.
Most of the time the works involved are minimal and we will bear these costs.
How do you take care of my property ?
We have a network of contractors both in-house and freelance who will attend your property. They are all vetted professionals and all works managed by us is covered through our insurance policy.
How do you make sure occupants will take care of the property ?
We conduct regular inspection of the property and can provide photo reports on-demand.
We also have a cleaning team attending the property weekly to make sure everything is well maintained and cleaned throughout the whole contract duration.
We take care of the property ourselves for the Landlords’ peace of mind and occupants’ comfort.
We will also have a deposit with you and check-in/check-out inventories to make sure we have taken care of your property properly.
Do I have to pay a property manager ?
No, you shouldn’t have to pay for a property manager. We will manage your property and take care of small maintenance (part of our contract responsibilities). Should major works be needed, changing appliances, discussing with insurance companies and such, we will manage everything and communicate with you for the final decision.
What type of contract would we sign ?
We would sign a non-ast business tenancy. It is like a company let lease but we will waive any rights to stay longer than the terms of the contract to make it easier for you to retake possession of your property at the end of the contract.
How long is your average contract ?
Our average contracts with Landlords are 3 years long even though we remain fully flexible on the duration.
Our occupants remain in place in average 11 months and for the longest ones up to 2.5 years.
Do you have guarantors?
We can provide personal guarantors on the contract if required.
